Meet Amelia
Amelia came into our lives as a true Christmas gift. Adopted from Grateful Doggies Rescue (originally named Clara), she instantly bonded with my daughter at an adoption event, and we brought her home on Christmas morning. From day one, she’s been pure love.
Amelia is the sweetest soul. She used to wake up her human sisters every morning—first a gentle paw, then nose nudges, good-morning kisses, and if all else failed, a full beagle pounce. She’s been my constant work-from-home companion, our comfort on hard days, and the heart of our home.
This year brought joy when Amelia welcomed a new pack mate, Roxy, after a family loss. The two quickly became inseparable—snuggles, walks, car rides, school drop-offs, and park adventures. Sadly, just before Christmas, Amelia’s health took a sudden turn.
She began experiencing severe neck pain and was rushed to the emergency vet. Since then, Amelia has endured three emergency hospitalizations, intense pain, strict crate rest, and countless medications. An MRI revealed multiple degenerative discs and a herniated disc, causing debilitating pain and limiting her ability to even lift her head.
At this point, surgery is her best chance at relief and a good quality of life. The cost of her care—including ICU stays, imaging, and medications—has been overwhelming, and her surgery is estimated at $10,000–$15,000.
We are asking for help so Amelia can heal and return to the joyful, loving dog she’s always been. Any donation—big or small—or even sharing her story means more than we can express. Thank you for supporting this sweet girl and keeping her surrounded by love.

Thank you again for your openness to share Amelia’s story and the wonderful resources provided on your website. I truly appreciate any help or positive thoughts for our girl!
