His name is Blue and he is a 4 year old active dachshund/terrier mix. Sunday night July 6th 2026 he started experienced abdominal pain and a tense stomach. Took him to the ER then followed up with his primary Vet on July 7th and they did not seem any signs of fractured spine or pancreas. Vet thought it was a stomach issue. As we were leaving his primary vet office , his hind legs gave out as and he couldn’t walk on them anymore. I was heartbroken and rushed him to a referred neurologist who suggested surgery or medical treatment. As my emotions took over me

I wanted him to have the surgery but it was roughly 8k and with my financial situation I couldn’t afford it and opted to do the medical treatment instead. It’s still fresh and blue is in shock and doesn’t understand what’s going on. I’m heartbroken for him and want him to live his normal life again. I know it’s not guaranteed he will walk again with either forms for treatment but as his owner I will do anything for him. I please ask for donations/financial assistance for surgery so he has a better chance at recovery. Thank you.
